A Recap

Hey To All,

I hope everyone is having a great start to 2007. It seems longer than three weeks since New Years. I promised more pictures from New Years in the last post & I can finally deliver.

Great things have been going on for me and the people around me. My friend and mentor "The Herbalist" is off on a 2 month warm retreat. My friend Tracy is ready to start dating again. Pamela has found a great place to stay and I am moving along with my business plans and meeting lots of cool people.

I am spending more time in Santa Cruz now and loving it. I am finally learning my way around. I have 2 events I will be filling you in on. Cafe La 'Vie ( All organic Raw-vegetarian & vegan. (Some foods are cooked) is a great place to eat and always good for an interesting affair. I love Yeyen (owner) she always has a smile and hug for me. There is a tea class there with a dinner February 2nd . I love tea and I am sure to find some valuable information to share with anyone that is a tea lover.

2007 Has Begun

Happy New Year!!

I hope you and yours are enjoying the year so far. I would like to give a quick recap of the holidays. Well, Christmas Eve my daughter Ryan, her friend Lisette and I went ice skating. My foot is still paying for it. But it was all in the name of fun and I have not iceskated in years.

On the 23rd, Pamela and I went to a dance in Santa Cruz. (Picture above) My friends Angela and Halle play in a band call Peace Tribe Orchestra. It was my first time hearing them play. It was perfect right before Christmas.

On Christmas, I chilled at home with Ryan & Sasha. My friend Pamela came over and shared the holiday love with us.

Work at the spa was good for me during the Holiday so there was fun work and play. I am studying alot and will begin work on my book soon.

As for New Years Eve, I spent the first part if it at First Night. The parade was sad this year . Ohh well, maybe next year. I did have fun hanging out with my friend Pamela and Antonio.
The after party was in Carmel Valley. I met The Herbalist there and we had a great time. Lots of fun people and cool music. There was also drumming. I love drumming. Some pictures will be in my next post.

An Introduction

Happy Holidays!!

It's a great day in Monterey!! I know this is the begining of beautiful things to come. My name is Mika. I have a daughter (Ryan), my kitty (Sasha) and we would first like to wish everyone holiday cheer.

This is my first blog posting. I am so excited!! I mean, I have heard of them. I may have even looked at a couple. But this is the first time, I have thought seriously about having my own. The decision came in an instant from the divine and here I am creating.

I feel this blog is one of the things that I need to share with this world while here. I am returning to my calling, which is natural health. My definition of this is ( because I know that there are so many) that I believe in living by the laws of the universe. This means eating my foods in as natural states as possible (though I have exceptions sometimes... when in Rome..) being connected with my environment including plants, animals rocks and the like. This also means to me maintaining a healthy happy body and spirit through, dance, nutrition, sharing, learning, and just being joyful. Of course there are many ways to do this and as you will see when you visit me regularly that I will fill you in on the things that I am licensed, certified, training, studying or just some of my life experiences. Maybe they may help you as well so lets explore together.

So here's a little about my background.
Mika Gilmer- Holistic Health Practitioner, Bachelor's in Natural Health, Licensed Aesthetician, Certifications: massage, aromatherapy, personal training, clinical hypnotherapy, raw food coaching, raw food chef. Working on: Doctor of Metaphysics, Master Herbalist, Medical Intuitive and several flower essence certifications. There may be more to come...

Wow, that was a mindful. (smile)

It's the week before Christmas, my shopping and shipping is pretty much done. Yeah!! Saturday, I head to a Solstice Dance in Santa Cruz. (I just love this area) Taking my friend Pamela with me. I will also be meeting a new and old friend this weekend. Tune in next time to see what universal lessons I've learned.
